Jon and Daniela Perieda

Founders

Bilingual Family began as Daniela’s dream. With the love, support and encouragement of Jon, it became a reality in 2013. As we started our own family, the meaning of Bilingual Family evolved. We are committed not only to raising bilingual children, but we are also committed to creating a program we will feel fortunate to send our children to. A program where children are respected as individuals and their unique gifts and skills are fostered. A program that will become a model for education reform. A program where families feel supported and connected.

Join us in creating a community of bilingual families.

Daniela Perieda

Program Director

Daniela is passionate about Bilingualism and Education reform. She is the author of “Become a Bilingual Family – The Best Method For Raising Bilingual Children, Even If You Only Speak One Language” and is the Past President for The Oklahoma Association for Bilingual Education. Daniela holds a Family Life Education – Child Development degree from the University of Central Oklahoma.

Daniela helps parents create meaningful relationships with their children while learning Spanish. She believes teachers and families play an important role in the development of the WHOLE child. For this reason, her goal is to create a community of bilingual families.

Leah Rubio

Preschool Guide

Leah has been part of Bilingual Family since 2016 when her daughter was in the preschool class. Her son later graduated from Mommy & Me and preschool as well! With degrees in Social Work and Family and Child Studies, Leah is passionate about working with children and families. She is an avid reader (although audiobooks have become the only option these days). When not reading in her spare time, Leah and her husband Claudio love to spend time with their children Lily and Luca doing ALL the things…dance, soccer, flag football, cross country, and on and on. 🙂 Bilingual Family is a true treasure, and Miss Leah is so happy to be part of la familia!

Kendy Gonzalez

Preschool Guide

Kendy was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico and raised in Denver, Colorado. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and minor in Sociology from the University of Colorado Denver. Kendy is thrilled and excited to be part of the Bilingual Family team as she also was able to attend, grow, and learn in an environment where creativity and bilingualism were used as key factors for her success. One of Kendy’s main goals is to assure that every kid’s needs are heard and met so they can thrive and transcend in everyday life.
